From machine production to service specialisation

zirkon can look back on over 100 years of company history, during which we have developed from a leading manufacturer of web offset presses into a specialist for technical service and retrofit solutions. As our predecessors, the names POLYGRAPH and Leipziger Druckmaschinenwerk stood for tradition and innovation in printing press manufacturing. While we used to develop innovative machines such as the zirkon supra and gold line, today we concentrate on providing these machines with modern upgrades and comprehensive service.

• 1819: Foundation of a predecessor company and first steps in printing press production
• 1950s: Introduction of the first web offset presses
• 1965: Market launch of the world's first web offset printing press with perfecting technology: zirkon 66
• 1960s: Market launch of the zirkon ultraset 72
• 1980s: Worldwide success with the zirkon forta and zirkon supra models
• 1990s: Market launch of the zirkon 6611
• 1990s: Market launch of the zirkon 9620
• 2000s: Market launch of the zirkon 6612

• 2024: Continuation of business operations under the umbrella of Roland Schimek-Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (RSB) in cooperation with PrintHouseService GmbH
